I
With regard to your communication of the 20th inst., am prepared to reengage in my previous position in the H. K. Police I presume there will be no difficulty with regard to the passages of my wife and self being booked together.
I shall be pleased to receive any information you are able to give with regard to possible.date of embarkation and what allowance I might expect.
I have already addressed the 0.8.P, Hong Kong with reference to promation and although I am perfectly confident of a favourable reply, it will in no way affect my decision, I realise that I
must maintain my wife until I receive promotion.
It would appear that since the five years of the first agree- iament have expired I am entitled, upon re-engaging, to nine months leave, but since the circumstances are shaewhat not of the ordinary I am not at all clear upon that point.
Yours faithfully,
(ad)
F. James.
